Regions Explained

The products within our store are separated into the Census Bureau Regions and Divisions of the United States.

Basically, there are four categories - West, Midwest, South and the Northeast.  All of our states fall into those four categories.  Please see regional maps below to find out what region you'll need to find the state.  Within each state you will find state files and county files. 

 West Region  

 

West Region

As defined by the Census Bureau, the western United States includes 13 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.  

 Midwest Region  

 

Midwest Region 

This region consists of 12 states in the north-central and north-eastern United States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

 Southern Region  

 

Southern Region 

As defined by the United States Census Bureau, the Southern region of the United States includes sixteen states.  Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. 

 Northeast Region  


Northeast Region

This region comprises nine states: the New England states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont; and the Mid-Atlantic states of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
